ABIED 于 5 月 15 日启动青年经济学者研究陪伴活动。首批共有 23 位 ICRC 资深研究员作为导师，与来自会员单位或高校的 42 位青年学者完成一对一或一对二结对。

这项活动由秘书处负责组织协调，由 ICRC 资深研究员提供研究方法、选题节奏与长期资料整理方面的陪伴建议。它不是新的组织机构，也不改变 ICRC 既有聘任、评议与课题审定流程。

活动缘起

活动设想最早出现在 2024 年 12 月的 ICRC 年度述职会议。会上，多位资深研究员共同提出一个观察：BSEIA 青年学者奖设立六年来，共 18 位青年学者获得主奖，获奖时平均年龄 35.2 岁。但申报时的“最后冲刺式”研究风格仍然普遍，有能力做十年以上慢研究的青年学者仍是少数。

ICRC 主任许建衡在会上表示，联盟更希望看到青年研究者从早期就被引导进入长周期研究状态，而不是只在申报奖项时短期集中投入。

第一批安排

首批青年学者的遴选经过 ICRC 五大议题小组共同评议，遵循两条基本标准：已有至少一份公开研究代表作；年龄不超过 38 岁且具备进入长期研究周期的明确意愿。最终从 186 位申请者中遴选出 42 位。

导师匹配由秘书处统一协调，23 位导师均为 ICRC 资深研究员，覆盖五大议题组。活动成果不会直接作为 BSEIA 评审加分项，也不会形成单独证书或职务身份。

On May 15, ABIED launched a young economist research mentoring activity. The first cohort pairs 23 senior ICRC researchers with 42 young scholars from member institutions and universities.

The activity is coordinated by the Secretariat, with senior ICRC researchers offering guidance on research methods, topic pacing, and long-term data organization. It is not a new organizational body and does not change the existing ICRC appointment, evaluation, or project completion workflow.

Origin

The idea first appeared during the ICRC annual reporting meeting in December 2024. Senior researchers observed that although 18 young scholars had received the BSEIA Young Scholar Award over six years, many applications still showed a last-sprint research style. Young scholars prepared for ten-year research cycles remained relatively rare.

ICRC Director Xu Jianheng noted that ABIED hopes young researchers can be guided into long-cycle research earlier, instead of concentrating effort only when award applications open.

First Cohort

The first cohort was reviewed across the five ICRC issue groups. Applicants needed at least one public research work and a clear willingness to enter a long-cycle research path before age 38. Forty-two scholars were selected from 186 applicants.

Mentor matching is coordinated by the Secretariat. The 23 mentors are senior ICRC researchers across the five issue groups. Participation does not add points in BSEIA review and does not create a separate certificate or official appointment.
