ABIED does not pursue membership scale as a target. We want each member to know why they are here: to join peers who think about business and economic questions in ten-year units, and to place their research and judgment in a community willing to review, question, and respond over time.
Annual fee: HKD 1,800
For practitioners, independent researchers, and graduate students interested in business and economic research.
Annual fee: HKD 4,500
For practitioners and researchers with more than eight years of experience in strategy, macro, or industry research.
Annual fee: from HKD 25,000
For enterprises, funds, universities, think tanks, and public institutions with long-term research needs.
No membership fee
For scholars or practitioners with long-term outstanding contributions to business strategy, macroeconomics, or industrial research. Nominated by the Council; self-nomination is not accepted.
Complete the application form and submit your CV, representative research or practice work, and recommender information.
The Secretariat checks completeness within 10 business days and provides one-time feedback if materials are incomplete.
Senior-level and above applications are reviewed by an ICRC evaluation group, focusing on long-term value and independence.
Application results are sent by email. Approved applicants receive onboarding and payment instructions.
We do not seek size for its own sake. We seek members who are in the right place for this slow and serious work.
